MINOR PROJECT
During the project I will research on how to do high speed photography as it is a technique I haven’t yet tried and I will also research photographers who try this technique so I can explore different ways of using it and understand it better.

FASHION SHOOT - WOMEN'S RIGHTS
I’ve decided to do this using art as I have studied art before and I can use my own way of exploring an idea using both art and photography.
When choosing my minor project idea I decided that I should focus on something that I am very passionate about and can do with anyone. I listed down all topics I am passionate about such as mental health, abuse, education and so on and stuck with the idea of women’s rights. When thinking of photography techniques and the way I should come about with the idea I thought that I could do fashion photography as I wanted to recreate my fashion shoot from previously so this would be a way of improving it and developing my fashion shoot further.
High-speed photography is capturing the moments that happen in a fraction of time, which you can’t see with the naked eye. It requires almost 1/20,000th of a second exposure time to freeze these moments.
INSPIRATION:
During the project I will research on how to do high speed photography as it is a technique I haven’t yet tried and I will also research photographers who try this technique so I can explore different ways of using it and understand it better.
The artist I found is Martin Maugh who combines art and science to capture the curves of liquid and he uses his photography as a metaphor for life. He varies the size, speed and the position of the drops and the colour as a way to create a panorama of colour and movement.
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
This will push my technical skills as I will learn something new and be able to control the shutter speed and lighting and many more in order to get one successful image. It will push my technical skills is because I will understand how to control the lighting and use artificial lighting in order to have a successful image using high speed photography.
CREATIVE SKILLS:
This will push my creative skills as I have done art in the past so I can use different methods and different techniques in art to be represented in photography.
It will also push my creative skills as I can use colour and art as a way to represent feelings which can relate to myself and others my age to show how our generation is, this may link to mental health in some aspects as the colours determine moods and it is seen that mental health is becoming a big thing in our generation and people are more aware.
As I haven’t done high speed photography before I will be more creative and explore and experiment much more to get to my outcome.
